Bend City Council OKs River Vale development - Bend Bulletin

A 37-acre, 78-home subdivision on the south end of Bend along the Deschutes River won preliminary approval Wednesday from the Bend City Council.

Councilors voted 7-0 to allow Pahlisch Homes to build the River Vale development, which would be bordered by the Deschutes River to the west and the private River Rim community to the east and runs into the city’s urban growth boundary at the south end. It still requires one more vote.

Pahlisch Homes project manager Chad Bettesworth said the development should provide housing that fits city needs.

“Hopefully we can be a friendly, good developer with the city of Bend,” Bettesworth said.
